Privacy Policy

This policy describes what www.exonfleet.com collects about you, why, who handles it on our behalf and what you can ask us to do. It covers this website and the quote, account and supplier flows on it.

    Who is responsible

    EXON Equipment Exchange, Egypt operates www.exonfleet.com and decides how the personal data described here is used. For anything in this policy, write to info@exonfleet.com.

    What we collect

    Your mobile number, which is your account identifier and is verified with a one-time code sent on WhatsApp. Your name, company and email address when you add them to your profile or to a request. What you put in a quote request: the machines and quantities, the dates, the site address and, if you drop one, a map pin, plus any note you write. Your quote basket stays in your browser until you send a request. Guest watchlists stay on your device; when you sign in, saved machines sync to your account so you can access them on other devices. Your email address if you subscribe to the newsletter, and whether you asked for WhatsApp updates on a request. If you register as a supplier: your company details, the machines you file and the verification documents you upload. If you message EXON on WhatsApp, we keep that conversation — your messages and our replies, with their dates and any photos or files you send — so the team handling your request can see all of it in one place.

    Why we use it

    To answer your quote requests and run your account, which is the reason you give us the data in the first place. To verify that a number belongs to you and to keep automated abuse off the forms. To send the newsletter and the WhatsApp updates you asked for — you can stop either at any time. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

    Who processes it for us

    Supabase (authentication, database and file storage), Vercel (hosting and traffic measurement), WATI (the WhatsApp Business channel that carries one-time codes and request updates), Resend (the email that tells the EXON team a request has arrived), Cloudflare Turnstile (checking that a form was filled in by a person) and Google Analytics (site statistics). Messages you send on WhatsApp are also subject to WhatsApp's own terms. These providers host data outside Egypt.

    How long we keep it

    Account pausing stops account activity but does not erase stored data. You can restore a paused account yourself for 30 days; permanent deletion is not automatic. To request deletion, contact info@exonfleet.com. Account, quote, commercial and supplier-document records require review so that shared documents and any applicable retention obligations are handled correctly. Newsletter subscriptions last until you unsubscribe. Active listings or an accepted rental request can prevent self-service pausing; contact the team for help. We keep notification-consent records, sign-in security history and an audit of account-change requests. The account-change audit includes hashed phone and account identifiers, request dates and outcomes; pausing does not remove it. WhatsApp conversations are kept for two years after each message and then deleted automatically.

    Cookies and your browser

    Essential cookies keep you signed in and remember the language you chose (NEXT_LOCALE). Your theme, currency and quote basket are stored on your device. Guest watchlists stay on your device; signed-in watchlists sync to your account. Basket details are sent when you submit a request. Google Analytics and Vercel set their own cookies or identifiers on the live site; we do not yet ask for your consent before they load, so until we do you can block them in your browser. They record which public pages are visited, the site you arrived from (its address only, never the full link) and any campaign tags in the link; pages in your account are recorded only as “account”, never individually.

    The market analytics page

    Our market analytics page publishes counts and averages computed from public posts in Egyptian heavy-equipment Facebook groups. Only aggregates are published there: no post text, no seller identity, no contact details and no links to individual posts.

  8. 08

    Your rights

    Under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law 151 of 2020) you can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected, ask us to delete it, withdraw a consent you gave, or object to a particular use. Email info@exonfleet.com from the number or address on the account and say what you are asking for. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the authority established under that law.
